The two principal cultures that have influenced cooking and eating habits are the Hindus and the Muslims. With each new wave of settlers arriving in India they all brought some of their own culinary delights. The Hindus are traditionally vegetarian so their real expertise lies in cooking vegetarian food, whilst the
Muslims' tradition of food was developed from the Mughal Empire in the 16th century. Over the following 200 years the tradition of Mughlai food was perfected and maintained throughout to this day. Rajastan (on the borders of Pakistan, in the west) is that state where the Rajpoots descended from a proud race
of clannish and warrior-like people. We have a great predilection for delicate and full-flavoured food. Our menu covers the main principal regions of India and includes their culinary favourites. We have made every effort to make our menu as close to food prepared at home to make your visit a truly Indian experience
